A late arrival to the Human Resources party, Amber moved into the profession after a successful career in Sales and Marketing. She realized that HR was a place where she could leverage her problem solving skills, drive for results, business acumen and passion for making people better—all in one place.
A solid business background has afforded Amber the unique ability to see human resources strategies from a business perspective—and business strategies through a people lens. Throughout her career, she has been able to bring together both sides of the house into a powerful combination at companies like Microsoft, Corbis and Onvia. Her passion for the profession of Human Resources comes through in her leadership of making others great. A firm believer that HR is a strategic partner to the business, she has developed unique ways to obtain support for and operationalize strategic people programs for the last twenty years.
Amber is a creative, by heart, and lives to share knowledge with others. You can see her speaking at HR events and educating others at SHRM certification courses. She also really likes coffee.
